Who Is This Class For?
This class is suitable for complete beginners who know how to read the Arabic script. It is also a great class for those looking to revise Arabic essentials. There will be a maximum of 5 students per class in order to allow for practice and interaction with the teacher.
The Teachers
Ust. Um Salih
A highly skilled teacher from the UK, who natively speaks both Arabic and English. She has a Master’s in Education and has helped develop the Fluent Arabic curriculum. She has also completed certifications in teaching Arabic as a foreign language.
Ust. Abdurrahman
He is a hafidh, and is highly experienced with teaching non-Arabs. He is fluent in English and can simplify concepts for beginners. He is one of our first teachers at Fluent Arabic and is highly rated by his students.

Ustaz Abdul Aleems approach to teaching Arabic is very different from conventional Arabic classes. The main goal is to understand the quran and hadith books, in sha Allah. Most of the assignments are related to quran and hadith books so we get to practice from the start. This course is a great first step. It will help you to build a strong foundation upon which you can build your understanding of Arabic. We recommended learning Madinah Arabic Book 2 and 3 after this course.
Yes. Book 1 is taught fully in English. From Book 2 we start using Arabic a little bit.
We aim to complete it within 3 months.
I highly recommend buying a physical copy of the Madinah Arabic Book 1. It can be any version. A dictionary is also useful—you can use a digital one or printed.
